HANOI, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, the sixth consecutive day, with its total confirmed cases remaining at 288, according to the Ministry of Health.
Altogether 252 patients in the country have recovered from COVID-19 while there are 131 suspected cases and more than 12,600 people being monitored and quarantined, with no deaths from the disease reported so far, according to the ministry.
The ministry announced Wednesday that the most critical case in the country, a British patient, will have a lung transplant.
Vietnam has recorded no infection caused by community transmission in 27 days, said the ministry, noting that the latest cases, which were recorded on May 7, were 17 people returning to the country from Dubai.
