Taijuan Walker tossed seven scoreless innings, Francisco Lindor had two hits, and the New York Mets beat the Colorado Rockies 2-0 on Sunday to capture the weekend series.
Luis Guillmore also had two hits and Edwin Nunez pitched the ninth for his 10th save of the season.
Austin Gomber (2-4) also pitched seven innings but was the hard-luck loser. He allowed two runs on seven hits, struck out two and didn't walk a batter.
The teams combined for 20 runs in Saturday's doubleheader but scoring was tough to come by Sunday. Neither team mounted a serious rally through the first five innings, and the closest either came to a run came in the third when Guillmore reached third with two outs for the Mets.
Walker (2-0) allowed five hits, struck out six and walked two in seven innings of work. His 97 pitches were a season high.
Colorado had two on after two were out in the fifth but didn't get a hit to break the scoreless battle.
New York finally did in the sixth. With one out, Brandon Nimmo singled to right field and went to third when Randal Grichuk misplayed the ball. Lindor then singled through a drawn-in infield to put the Mets ahead 1-0.
Jeff McNeil followed with a bloop double just beyond third base to put two runners in scoring position. Lindor scored when Pete Alonso grounded out to first base.
The Rockies threatened in the seventh against Walker but came up empty. Grichuk and Brendan Rodgers led off the inning with singles to put runners on first and second. Walker got Jose Iglesias to hit into a double play and Brian Serven to ground out to third on Walker's final pitch of the day.
Colorado again mounted a rally in the eighth, this time against former Rockies reliever Adam Ottavino. Connor Joe and Kris Bryant walked around a groundout by Yonathan Daza but C.J. Cron struck out and Joely Rodriguez entered to retire Ryan McMahon on a liner to third to end the inning.
