Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady was excused from Thursday's practice and plans to be away through the weekend for personal reasons.
Brady, who took a veteran day last week to celebrate his 45th birthday and also was excused last Friday, has practiced in just three of the team's last six.
Brady won't play in the Bucs' first preseason game on Saturday against Miami. With no practices either Friday or Sunday, it'll be Monday before Brady rejoins the team, per The Athletic.
The team is on board with Brady's absences, per NFL Network.
Bucs coach Todd Bowles is expected to address Brady's situation later Thursday.
Last week Bowles said, "We'll let him do what he needs to do."
