Ozzie Albies hit a three-run homer with two outs in the 10th inning to give the Atlanta Braves a 13-10 win over the visiting New York Mets on Thursday and a sweep of the three-game series.
Albies hit the second pitch he saw from Tommy Hunter (0-1) into the right-field seats to extend Atlanta's winning streak to five games and hand New York its sixth consecutive loss.
The winning pitcher was Raisel Iglesias (2-2), who struck out two batters in a scoreless 10th.
It is the first time since the team moved to Atlanta in 1966 that it has won three straight games when trailing by at least three runs. The Braves trailed by four runs on Thursday and erased three-run deficits in the first two games.
Atlanta improved to 3-0 in extra-inning games and is 5-1 this season against the Mets.
Atlanta's Orlando Arcia forced extra innings when he stroked a solo homer with one out in the ninth against reliever David Robertson, who was trying to complete a five-out save.
Atlanta had 19 hits and five homers. Austin Riley went 4-for-6, including his 11th home run. Marcell Ozuna added his 12th homer and Travis d'Arnaud hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning that closed the deficit to one run.
New York combined for 14 hits. Brandon Nimmo hit a grand slam and Francisco Alvarez added a pair of home runs to stake the Mets to the lead.
Nimmo's first career grand slam came in the second inning and erased a 3-0 deficit. It was Nimmo's fifth home run and first since May 21. Nimmo also made a dazzling catch in center field to rob Arcia of a likely double in the seventh inning.
Alvarez hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning against starter Spencer Strider and a solo shot against reliever Michael Tonkin in the sixth.
Neither starting pitcher was involved in the decision. Strider worked four innings and allowed a career-high eight runs on eight hits, two walks and eight strikeouts. New York's Justin Verlander threw just three innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on seven hits and four walks, with three strikeouts.
