HANOI -- The Vietnamese capital market has shown strong growth on the back of the stable macroeconomic situation, local media has reported.
However, improvements should be made in margin trading and securities blockade before transaction, foreign ownership limit, extension of foreign room, and equal access to information, Vietnam News Agency reported on Monday citing Ketut Ariadi Kamusa, a senior financial sector specialist at the World Bank, as saying. NEW YORK -- The U.S. dollar stayed nearly flat in late trading on Monday, after concluding its weakest week in over a month due to the Fed's dovish stance.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose 0.01 percent to 102.5625 in late trading. (US-Dollar)

ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia has achieved its goal of earning 1 billion U.S. dollars from tourism in 2023, said the country's Ministry of Environment and Tourism on Tuesday.
As of November, Mongolia welcomed more than 600,000 foreign tourists, and the revenues from the tourism sector exceeded 1 billion dollars, said the ministry in a statement.
This marks the first time that Mongolia has earned 1 billion dollars in revenue from a sector other than mining. (Mongolia-Tourism)

THE HAGUE -- The Dutch economy is expected to see hardly any growth this year, with higher unemployment, increased bankruptcies and less household spending, the Dutch central bank DNB said on Monday.
"The economy is growing only very slightly," largely due to much lower world trade and high inflation, said the DNB in its latest economic forecast. (Netherlands-Economy)
