New Delhi [India], September 16 (ANI): Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday congratulated Minakshi Hooda and Jaismine Lamboria, who were crowned champions at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool on Sunday.
In a post shared on X, Congress President said, 'Many congratulations to Minakshi Hooda and Jaismine Lamboria on their outstanding victories at the World Boxing Championships 2025.'
Kharge applauded Minakshi's brilliant performance in the 48 kg category and Jaismine's triumph in the 57 kg category.
'Minakshi's brilliant performance in the 48 kg category and Jaismine's remarkable triumph in the 57 kg category are truly commendable. Their grit, dedication, and enthusiasm for the sport have brought immense pride to the nation and will inspire countless aspiring athletes. Wishing them even greater success in the future!' Kharge said.

India's boxing contingent concluded their campaign at the World Boxing Championships 2025 in Liverpool with a total of four medals, including two golds, with Jaismine Lamboria and Minakshi Hooda crowned as the world champions, and Nupur Sheoran clinched silver, while Pooja Rani bagged a bronze.
An elated Minakshi Hooda said, 'I am really happy for winning a Gold medal for the country... I want to thank everyone for their support... I want to win Gold at the World Cup in November as well and make the country proud.'
India's Jaismine Lamboria expressed delight after clinching a historic gold medal at the World Boxing Championship 2025, reflecting on the country's strong overall performance at the event.
She said, 'India's performance in the World Boxing Championship was very good, we have won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal... it feels very good, I'm very happy.'
She defeated Poland's Szermeta Julia 4-1 at the World Boxing Championships 2025 in Liverpool on Saturday.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended wishes to the crowned champions from India.
