Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is active after testing out his injured shoulder before Thursday night's game at the Buffalo Bills.
NFL Network reported earlier in the day that Miami was optimistic about his availability for the AFC East clash.
Waddle was limited in practice during this short week and was listed as questionable after sustaining the injury in Sunday's 33-27 home loss to New England. After Waddle had just four catches for 30 yards in Week 1, he recorded five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots.
Waddle, 26, has played in all 17 games of a regular season just once in his first four seasons in Miami. He's coming off his first year in which he failed to record 1,000 yards, finishing with 744 and two touchdowns in 2024.
It's a boost for the Dolphins, considering the Bills (2-0) won't be at full strength on defense. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver (ankle), linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral) and defensive back Jordan Hancock (shoulder) are among their inactives, and cornerbacks Taron Johnson (quad) and Cam Lewis (shoulder) were banged up during the week but will play.
Miami (0-2) listed the following inactives: safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (calf), cornerbacks Storm Duck (ankle) and JuJu Brents, tight end Darren Waller (hip), receiver Tahj Washington, defensive tackle Zeek Biggers and emergency quarterback Quinn Ewers.
