Shea Langeliers doubled home the go-ahead run with two outs in the top of the 10th inning as the Athletics defeated the host Seattle Mariners 2-1 on Saturday night.
Tyler Ferguson (3-2) pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for the victory and Hogan Harris got the final two outs for his second save, escaping a bases-loaded jam.
Randy Arozarena homered for Seattle's lone run.
In the 10th, Brett Harris' sacrifice bunt sent automatic runner Colby Thomas to third. An out later, Langeliers lined a hanging breaking pitch from Caleb Ferguson (3-3) into the right field corner to score Thomas with the deciding run.
Both starters pitched well, though both were done long before the finish.
A's left-hander Jeffrey Springs allowed one run on two hits in 5 1/3 innings with two walks and three strikeouts.
Mariners right-hander George Kirby went six innings and gave up one run on four hits. Kirby tied a career high with three walks and fanned three.
The A's threatened in the second inning but left the bases loaded.
Tyler Soderstrom drew a leadoff walk and Jacob Wilson hit a broken-bat single down the left field line, with Soderstrom advancing to third. With one out, Darell Hernaiz dropped a bunt down the first base line. Kirby grabbed the ball with his bare hand as he dropped to his knees and shoveled a backhanded throw to catcher Cal Raleigh, who tagged out Soderstrom as he attempted to score standing.
Carlos Cortes reached on an infield single to load the bases, but first baseman Josh Naylor made a diving catch on a liner from Luis Urias to end the inning.
The A's opened the scoring in the fourth as Wilson doubled off the base of the wall in left-center and Hernaiz lined a two-out, RBI single to center.
Springs, who beat the Mariners twice previously this season, allowed only one hit through the first five innings -- a one-out single to left by Naylor in the second -- before Arozarena led off the sixth by lining a homer off the manual scoreboard in left to tie the score at 1-1.
It was Arozarena's 24th homer of the season, a career high.
